Wow, it's been more than 3 years since my last posting.  Talk about taking a break.  Time sure flies...  Not sure if I will write more on Xanga or it'll be another 3 years for my next post. It's very interesting to reread your old postings and see what kind of state of mind you were in.   That good enough for now. Happy New Year! Have a great 2007!

Here's my weekend update:

Friday:  A bunch of us went to Pier 23.  Pretty cool bar, great view of the bay.  They had a live band playing and a big outdoor area.  It felt great to have a drink and be out, especially after the stressful work week.

Saturday:

Christine and Jason took Bonnie and I for our birthday to this Hawain restaurant (Masonic and Geary, sorry forgot the name).  Never been to an hawaiin restaurant before.  It was pretty cool place.  Very comforting food.  They have a live hawaiin band performing and singing.  If the weather stay warm, it's cool to sit outside.

Sunday:

Congrats to Tung, Joe, Linh, and John on the Muddy Buddy (http://www.muddybuddy.com).  Here are some pics:

Looks messy, but also very fun.  It was too hot though!  Basically, Muddy Buddy is a 6 mile race (run 3 miles, bike 3 miles) with obstacle courses and the infamous mud pitt at the end.  Gotta do it next year!

On May 16, six-time Ironman champion Dave Scott spoke at the Triathlon Club of San Diego's monthly meeting.

"I had trouble sleeping after winning the 1982 Ironman, so I decided to walk into town at about 5 in the morning. This was before they had a 17-hour cutoff time in Hawaii. As I got close to the pier, here come two guys side by side, finishing the event in over 24 hours. One says, 'This is so cool! Dave Scott, the winner of the Ironman, is here to greet us! Run in with us, Dave!' I tried to go with them, but I couldn't. They sprinted the last 100 yards and dropped me like a stone."

That's so cool, to have the persistence to finish a race even if it takes one whole day. :) One day, I will do one even if I have to crawl in! :)

Man, great weekend!  As some of you know, I've turn 29th on Friday, October 17!  I'm getting old! My last year in my twenties!  How frickin depressing! :( At least, I started it the right way, getting plaster with my friends! :) Details below:

Friday:  Joe, Dave, Jean and I went to Palo Alto to meet up with her roommate.  We went to Blue Chalk Cafe.  I should’ve brought my camera.  Every time I decided not to bring the camera, I regret it like the time at Butter. :)  It was pretty chilled; we basically ate, drank and talked about life the whole night.  I wouldn't give up our table since it was getting crowded.  Of course I got pretty buzz, I'm such a light weight now.  Who can turn down free drinks? :)  Thanks guys. I had a great time!  Jean even got me a souvenir. :)

Saturday:Went to work a bit during the day. At night, Michelle took me out for my birthday. We ate at Butterfly Mission , which was very cool.Food was very good and the décor was very cool. It’s basically a Vietnamese Tapas place, so don’t expect huge portion. We order three dishes, and were more than satisfied. The shrimp tempura was the best! After dinner, Michelle gave me a cool dress shirt that I changed to for the rest of the night!Afterwards, we headed back to my place to drop off my car. That way, I wouldn’t have to worry about driving later. What a cool girl! Thanks Michelle!

After that, we headed to Fluid to celebrate our (Jean and I) birthdays.I was born on the 17th, while she was born on the 19th, roughly two years after I was born. She’s a baby.Fluid is a new club on Mission (3rd).We had a couple of drinks there, but we didn’t stay too long.Place was too “Hollywood” for us.I wished I wore jeans. When I called, the club said they had a “no jeans” policy (except for girls that is, man, girls can get away with anything at clubs.), but there were hella guys wearing jeans. After Fluid, we headed to another club at the Embarcadero.Cover was $20, too expensive, especially when we can buy drinks with that money.:)

So, instead we headed to Up and Down at Folsom (7th) I think. To make up for lost time, I had a Liquid Cocaine shot and a Long Island within 2 minutes of each other. After that everything was a blur.I just remember I had a great time!People dancing, laughing, drinking, hugging, taking body shots, pushing their roomies to the ground, pouring water on Joe’s shirt, freaking each other. Those two hours flew! Afterwards, we ate at the infamous Denny (Kwan’s bachelor party).I was sooo tired there!   Good times, good times…..

Well, I finally was able to get up at 6 a.m. and run after 6 months of trying.  It's so fricken hard to wake up that early.  I felt really good afterwards, probabley the best I felt before work.  Now, I'm so tired!  I think, partly because of the running, but I think it's mostly because I went out the night before to watch the Boston-Yankee(damn, I can't believe the Sox lost!) game and didn't sleep till 6:30 a.m.  After the game, we went to this good Thai place on geary and leavenworth.  They have a great beef salad, so try it if you're there.  I think it's called Osha Thai Noodle.  Correct me if I am wrong guys.
